Simon Waters
8-key conical flute stamped Monro & May #570
This flute has clear similarities with Willis & Goodlad flute #593, and keywork similar to an Ingram flute made in the the 3 Angel Court workshop (flat round key flaps with a distinctive pointed shaft). The C# key has a 'W' stamp underneath, and the blocks are lined and pinned in a manner characteristic of Willis. The Bb key has an extra touch for r/h1.
It's unclear whether the case is original to the flute but it's contemporary and appropriate. The distinctive extra (and original) Bb touch is clear here, the shaft connected to the flap of the Bb key through a silver guide aligned with the block for the C key.
