8-key conical flute by Willis - no serial number

This ebony flute with fairly substantial (by then 'old-fashioned') ivory mounts and flat silver keys is just stamped 'Willis, London', but everything about it suggests that it dates from early in his manufacture, and almost certainly from the period during which he worked at 3 Angel Court, Strand. Thanks to invitations from Darryl Martin - then the curator of the Edinburgh collection - and subsequently Jenny Nex, I have had the opportunity to examine this flute in some detail, but as is evident from below, taking a good general shot of the whole instrument seems to have been left off the priority list. I hope to have the opportunity to remedy this soon.
